Privacy Policy

How Flappy Bird Pro collects, uses, and protects personal data. We do not sell your personal information.

Last updated: 2026-10-23

Quick summary: Flappy Bird Pro collects minimal personal data to operate the site and, where enabled, serve ads and analytics (including Microsoft Clarity behavioral analytics such as heatmaps and session reconstructions). We do not sell your personal information. You have rights to access, correct, or delete your data. This policy applies to all visitors, including those in the EU and the US.

1. Who We Are

Flappy Bird Pro (“we”, “us”, “our”) is operated as an individual-run website. We act as the data controller for personal data collected through this site.

For privacy-related inquiries, contact us at the address in Section 14.

Note to EEA/UK residents: Because Flappy Bird Pro is operated by an individual rather than a registered legal entity, you are contracting directly with the individual operator. We nonetheless commit to compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the UK GDPR.

2. What Data We Collect

2.1 Data you provide directly

We collect personal data you voluntarily submit, for example when you:

  • Create an account (name, email address, password)
  • Use a contact form, game report form, or send us an email
  • Submit feedback, tickets, or other messages

This may include your name, email address, and any other information you choose to include. Account registration is optional for browsing and playing many games on the site.

2.2 Data collected automatically

When you visit Flappy Bird Pro, we and our third-party partners may automatically collect:

  • IP address — used for security, fraud prevention, and (where applicable) approximate location for ads
  • Browser type and version
  • Device type and operating system
  • Pages visited and time spent
  • Referring URL
  • Cookie and similar tracking data — see Section 5
  • Ad interaction data (whether you viewed or clicked an advertisement), where ads are enabled
  • Interaction and session data (where Microsoft Clarity is enabled) — for example clicks, scrolls, pointer movements, page layout, and related signals used to build heatmaps and session reconstructions (not a literal video of your screen). Clarity may suppress or mask content by default; we configure masking where appropriate. See Section 4 and Section 5.

2.3 Data received from third parties

Our advertising and analytics partners may share aggregated or pseudonymous data about your interactions with their services on our site. If we receive personal information about you directly from a third party, we will notify you individually where required by law.

3. Why We Collect It & Legal Basis

We process personal data only for specific purposes. Under GDPR (for EEA/UK visitors), the legal bases include:

| Purpose | Data used | Legal basis | | --------------------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------- | | Responding to inquiries or support | Name, email, message content | Legitimate interest | | Operating accounts and authenticated features | Account details, session data | Contract / legitimate interest | | Displaying the website and games | IP address, browser/device data | Legitimate interest | | Site analytics and performance | Usage data, pages visited, session / interaction data (including Clarity heatmaps and session reconstructions when enabled) | Legitimate interest or consent (where required) | | Serving non-personalized advertisements | IP address, general location, device data | Legitimate interest | | Serving personalized advertisements | Cookie data, user IDs, ad interaction data | Consent | | Fraud prevention and security | IP address, device data, behavioral data | Legitimate interest | | Compliance with legal obligations | Data as required by law | Legal obligation | | Processing payments (if you purchase) | Billing metadata via payment providers | Contract / legal obligation |

Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have assessed that our interests are not overridden by your rights. You may object at any time — see Section 9.

4. Advertising & Third-Party Partners

Flappy Bird Pro may be free and ad-supported. We may work with third-party advertising and analytics networks that collect data through cookies and similar technologies.

We do not sell your personal data for money. Sharing data with advertising partners for ad targeting may still be classified as a “sale” or “sharing” under California law (CCPA/CPRA). See Section 10 for opt-out rights.

Partners may include (depending on configuration):

| Partner | Privacy information | | -------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ | | Google Analytics | policies.google.com/privacy | | Microsoft Clarity (if enabled) | privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement; Clarity FAQ | | Google AdSense / Ad Exchange | policies.google.com/privacy | | Plausible Analytics (if enabled) | plausible.io/privacy | | Payment providers (e.g. Stripe, PayPal) | See each provider’s privacy policy | | Auth / OAuth providers (e.g. Google, GitHub) | See each provider’s privacy policy | | Game distributors / embed hosts | See each provider’s privacy policy |

Microsoft Clarity (when enabled). Clarity is a Microsoft product that helps us understand how visitors use pages (heatmaps and session reconstructions built from page structure and interactions). Data is processed by Microsoft and stored in Microsoft Azure. Microsoft states that Clarity does not sell your data. For EEA/UK/Switzerland traffic, Clarity expects a valid consent signal before setting non-essential cookies; on this site, when the cookie banner is enabled, the Clarity script loads only after you accept (same approach as AdSense). See Clarity cookies and Clarity consent management.

5. Cookies

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help recognize returning visitors, remember preferences, and support advertising and analytics.

Types of cookies we use

| Type | Purpose | Consent required? | | ------------------------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------- | | Strictly necessary | Core functionality (security, session, consent storage) | No | | Analytics | Understanding how visitors use the site (page analytics; and, if Clarity is enabled, behavioral analytics including heatmaps / session reconstructions) | Yes (where required) | | Advertising (non-personalized) | Ads based on page context, not a user profile | No (legitimate interest) / as required by law | | Advertising (personalized) | Ads tailored via ad-network cookies | Yes | | Third-party game cookies | Set by game developers or embed hosts | Yes (where required) |

Analytics providers and cookies (when configured)

| Provider | Examples of cookies / tech | Notes | | ----------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ | | Google Analytics | GA cookies / identifiers via gtag.js | If the cookie banner is on, Consent Mode defaults storage to denied until you accept | | Microsoft Clarity | First-party _clck, _clsk; Microsoft may also set cookies such as CLID, MUID (see Microsoft docs) | If the cookie banner is on, Clarity is not loaded until you accept | | Plausible | Typically cookieless | Not gated by our cookie banner |

When cookie consent is enabled on the site, you will see a consent banner on first visit. You can change preferences later via Cookie Settings in the footer (when available). Rejecting non-essential cookies (or withdrawing consent) means we will not load Clarity or AdSense scripts after that choice; Google Analytics may still load in a restricted Consent Mode where configured.

You can also manage cookies in your browser settings. Blocking certain cookies may affect site features and embedded games.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal data only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy:

| Data type | Retention period | | ------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | Account data | Until you delete your account, plus a short period for backups/legal needs | | Contact / inquiry / report data | Up to 2 years from last contact | | Server / access logs | Up to 12 months | | Analytics data | Per provider defaults (e.g. up to 14 months for Google Analytics; for Microsoft Clarity: playback/session reconstructions typically up to 30 days, heatmaps / aggregated click data and labeled or favorited sessions typically up to 9 months — see Clarity data retention) | | Advertising cookies | Per each partner’s policy (typically 30–365 days) | | Payment / order records | As required by tax and accounting law |

After the applicable period, data is deleted or anonymized.

7. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data, including:

  • Limiting access to those who need it to operate the site
  • Using HTTPS for data in transit
  • Encrypting sensitive configuration where configured
  • Not storing full payment card numbers on our servers (payments go through third-party processors)

No transmission over the internet is 100% secure. If you believe your data has been compromised, contact us immediately (Section 14).

8. International Data Transfers

Some partners are based in the United States or other countries outside the EEA. For transfers outside the EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as:

  • Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs)
  • Adequacy decisions of the European Commission
  • The Data Privacy Framework (DPF), where a partner is certified

You may request more information about transfer mechanisms by contacting us (Section 14).

9. Your Rights (GDPR — EEA & UK Residents)

If you are in the EEA or UK, you have rights including:

| Right | What it means | | ------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ | | Access | Request a copy of personal data we hold about you | | Rectification | Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data | | Erasure | Ask us to delete your data (“right to be forgotten”) | | Restriction | Ask us to limit processing while a dispute is resolved | | Portability | Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format | | Object | Object to processing based on legitimate interests, including direct marketing | | Withdraw consent | Withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior lawful processing | | Automated decisions | Not be subject to solely automated decisions that significantly affect you |

Contact us at the address in Section 14. We will respond within 30 days and may ask you to verify your identity.

You may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (edpb.europa.eu for EEA; ico.org.uk for the UK).

10. Your Rights (CCPA/CPRA — California Residents)

California residents have rights including:

  • Right to Know — categories and specific pieces of personal information collected in the past 12 months
  • Right to Delete — request deletion, subject to legal exceptions
  • Right to Correct — request correction of inaccurate information
  • Right to Opt-Out — opt out of “sale” or “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising (use Global Privacy Control where supported, or contact us)
  • Right to Limit — we do not collect sensitive personal information as defined by the CPRA for that purpose
  • Non-Discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights

We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of California residents under 16 years of age.

We aim to respond within 45 days (with a possible additional 45-day extension when reasonably necessary).

Categories collected (last 12 months)

| Category | Collected? | Shared with third parties? | | ------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------- | | Identifiers (IP, cookie IDs, account email) | Yes | Yes (ad / analytics / auth partners as applicable) | | Internet / network activity | Yes | Yes (ad / analytics partners) | | Contact information (name, email) | If provided | Generally no (except processors who help us operate) | | Geolocation (general, via IP) | Yes | Yes (ad partners, where used) | | Sensitive personal information | No | No | | Financial data | Only via payment providers if you pay | Payment processors only |

11. Children’s Privacy

Flappy Bird Pro is intended for users aged 16 and above (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction — 13 in the United States under COPPA).

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

If you are under 16, please do not use this website without verifiable parental consent where required.

12. Third-Party Links & Games

Flappy Bird Pro may contain links to external websites and embedded games from third-party developers or distributors. This Privacy Policy applies only to Flappy Bird Pro.

When you click a third-party link or play an embedded game, that party’s own privacy policy applies. We do not control and are not responsible for their data practices.

Tip: Prefer not to use your real name or primary email when registering inside third-party multiplayer games.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do:

  • We will update the “Last updated” date shown on this page
  • For material changes, we will provide a prominent notice on the website for at least 30 days where appropriate

Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. Please review this page periodically.
